Happy Feats, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to all the courageous children suffering from life-altering medical illnesses. From our own personal experiences we decided to create “Happy Feats” in hopes of bringing joy to children in hospitals around California.
Since many hospitals receive widely donated items such as movies, toys, stuffed animals, and blankets…we thought why not start collecting socks? They are fuzzy, warm your feet, and keep them happy. Each pair of socks we donate will be individually tagged with a special message of hope.
All donated socks are then delivered free of charge to the pediatric hospitals surrounding the Los Angeles and Central California areas, as well as various hospitals & organizations around the US.
Why Feats not Feets?
We named our organization Happy Feats spelled “FEATS” because we truly were inspired by the strength of these children. Feat Noun is an achievement that requires great courage, skill, or strength, and that is exactly what the children experience during their time in the hospital.
How it Started
Happy Feats Inc. began on March 9th, 2013 with our first donation to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach; followed by donations to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Mattel UCLA, Children’s Hospital Central California, Huntington Memorial Pasadena, and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. We have even reached out to organizations such as the Jessie Rees Foundation-Team NEGU with socks to be stuffed in Jessie’s JoyJars, spreading hope and joy to children battling cancer across the United States. To date, thousands of pairs have been given to many special little feet and we will continue to give thanks to the many generous donations we have received.
